It also helps if you want to convert the screen from glossy to matte. Why: I just recently bought a water damaged Early 2009 macbook from ebay for $500. Once I cleaned the logic board and everything else in the case I booted it up and heard the power up noise. The laptop works, but the Inverter or LEDs were damaged by the incident. I did not want to go to Techrestore or Missionrepair, They cost way too much ($300-$400). I order a new LG Phillips screen from ebay for $150. The part should come in soon. Video updates will be available upon installation. What: You need 2 things to get the glass off… 1. GPS suction cup (or any glass suction peripheral) 2. Thin Bendable Plastic, from misc. product packaging( in the video I used a xbox controller packaging plastic) How: First, you place the suction cup on the top left corner of the screen. Apply force by holding on to the metal lid part and pulling gently….do not pull too hard or it will crack.After tugging a few times, there will be a small opening. take the sharp plastic and slide it downward toward the hinges.. do the rest of the sides as the video instructs. Acer Aspire One Hackintosh Running Mac OS X and Logic Audio Pro

Me noodling around on my Acer Aspire One A150 running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 with some custom kexts to get 1024×600 res, stock audio and wired ethernet working. Machine is stock, no hardware mods (yet) but shows that the Atom netbook platform can do quite a bit with the right software – near-zero audio latency thanks to Core Audio. I threw some patterns together in Garage Band and flew them into Logic Pro 8. All the backing tracks are playing back live in Logic Audio. The keyboard is an M-Audio Axiom 61.
